Love Never Fails: At the Cross

I Corinthians 1:18-2:5

To promote unity in the church…

  • Paul reminded the Corinthians that their salvation was accomplished by the gospel of Christ crucified not by the world’s wisdom. 1:18-25

Your salvation is accomplished by believing in the

Gospel of Christ crucified not the wisdom of this world.

  • Paul proclaimed to the Corinthians that their salvation was accomplished by the call of God to trust in the gospel of Christ crucified not human achievement. 1:26-31

Your salvation is based on the call of God on your life

to believe in the gospel of Christ crucified not

human achievement.

  • Paul confessed to the Corinthians his weakness in proclaiming the gospel so that he might remind them of the power of God in their salvation. 2:1-5

Your salvation (based on your trust in the gospel

of Christ crucified) is accomplished by the

power of God through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Reflection:

  • Have you trusted in the crucified Christ for your salvation?
  • How are you doing in relying on the Holy Spirit to live the truth of the gospel?
  • How are you doing in giving credit to God for your salvation?
