Finish Well:  Discipline Yourself for Godliness

2 Timothy 2:1-26

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me, on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8

“Train yourself to be godly.  For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

 1 Timothy 4:7b-8

Remember:  Suffering for the gospel is worth it because our God is faithful always. 2:8-13
